[verse 1]
Step out and take a chance
Turn the page of True Romance
When the music moves you
just start dancing
Don’t wait or hesitate
Don’t die procrastinating
The whole world is aching
for your love light to shine, So
[chorus]
Lay your love down on me
May your love be the song I sing
Play the music of my soul and
hear your perfect harmony
Make this connection with me
Take my affection; take the heat
Til the perfection of our love
infects the world with ecstacy
Lay your love down
Lay your love down
[verse 2]
The world stares in awe and wonder
At one heart that dares to dream
One dreamer lives another
dreamer’s fantasy
We’ll run to distant thunder
Don’t pause or buckle under
Don’t ponder if it’s real or
what it all could mean
[verse 3]
Don’t run at whispered warnings
A new sun is born each morning
Hazard your heart and trust in
my love’s certainty
This risk is worth the taking
This love is worth the making
Lay down the love you hid away and
saved for me
