Leo & Virgo were star-crossed lovers
They met one night on the south side of town
They knew at once they were meant for each other
But they didn’t know their luck had run out
Leo was the kind of man women admire
Strong, tall, and quiet with a secret inside
Virgo was a woman that could rivet men’s eyes
All she had to do was walk by
[chorus]
The gods of the earth went to war over all the trouble
Tossed two stars in the sea for the troubled lovers
Fate spun the wheel of destiny and the game was over
Love for these two was not to be
The love they knew was not to be
Leo robbed a bar; his gun went off and shot the owner
He stole the closest car and drove away up the street
He stopped to get Virgo who was waiting on the corner
And they sped toward to their date with destiny
[chorus]
The highspeed chase made the news and all the papers
They crossed five states before they ran out of gas
Troopers saw the gun and sent a hail of bullets
The lovers were together now at last
[chorus]
[bridge]
Leo & Virgo are star-crossed lovers
They meet each night on their heavenly paths
They shine much brighter now forever together
The fateful lovers have the last laugh
[chorus]
