You hold your fast days to show the world
Just how good you really are
You stand to pray and fill the air
With pious words not from your heart
If you think this what I require, You are wrong
Return to me and I will be your God
[chorus]
Love God; love others
That’s all that matters
It’s a waste of time to argue about the rest
Love God; love others
That’s all that matters
If you do these two things you will be blessed
[verse]
When you come together to worship
Show preference for each other
And leave to ask forgiveness
If you’ve sinned against your brother
Shout your praises in unity
For in this way you honor me
Then you can bring your offering
With a pure heart to your God
[verse]
If you walk the path of Jesus
You’ll know what I require
Do justice and love mercy
For these things I desire
Come together in unity
For in this way you honor me
Then you can bring your offering
With a pure heart to your God
