Mr. Einstein, Please

Mr. Einstein, talk to me, please
About your famous theory
I’m trapped between a particle and wave of light
Caught in relativity

[chorus]
I gazed a long time at Schroedinger’s Cat
It was always there for me
I spent a while with your countryman, Kant
His rants were never satisfying
I took a spin with Ho Chi Minh
But ran like a coward at Tiananmen
So now you see the sad shape I’m in
Mr. Einstein, please

Mr. Einstein, talk to me, please
And break down the complexities
I’ve walked between atoms at the speed of light
But never grasped reality

Have you been stringing me along
With talk of string theories?
Well now it seems I’m so strung out
I can’t decide what to believe
