Sometimes we are called to be
the one who gives to those in need
Other times it’s we who must receive
It’s hard to see how being weak
Could fit into His plan
But we wouldn’t know the Good Samaritan
If it wasn’t for the dying man
The Suffering Christ has called us
To share his suffering
The Risen Christ has called us to his side
We tend to think our troubles are
Bad luck or circumstance
But we wouldn’t know the Good Samaritan
If it wasn’t for the dying man
It’s hard to know how much we grow
by trusting in his hand
But we wouldn’t know the Good Samaritan
If it wasn’t for the dying man
