Rice is Nice
[chorus]
I like rice any way you want to serve it
Rice is nice as a meal or on the side
Make mine white with a little brown gravy or
Make it brown with a little white wine
Cook it down with raisins in a pudding
Serve it up with roast beef in a stew
Stir it in to a mess of jambalaya
Rice is nice, any rice will do
[verse]
Now I’m no TV culinary expert and
I’m not hooked on haute cuisine
I’m just sharing my own opinion and
I hope you don’t think I don’t know beans
‘Cause I know rice is a fine food staple
But variety is the spice of life
So change your recipe whenever you’re able and
Add a little spice to the life of rice
[chorus]
[bridge]
You can boil it, you can broil it, you can bake it or make it stir-fried
You can fix it, you can mix it, you can even chop-stix it with pride
[chorus]
