Sleepin’ Off the Cure

Sleepin’ Off the Cure

I woke up this morning and
greeted the dawn with my
head stuck in a vise. I
stumbled and wheezed as I
opened the freezer to
grab a bag of ice.

I went back to bed with the
ice on my head; drank some
Nyquill, just to be sure. A
Half a day later the
world’s passin’ by while I’m
sleepin’ off the cure.

[chorus]
The world’s passing by and it’s
better that I not
try to get out and get in it.
I’ll fall on my face if I
run in that race the
Way my head is still spinnin’. So I’ll
Lay in my bed with some
Ice for my head and drink Nyquill to
Help me endure. I’m happy to
say the world goes on its way as I’m
sleepin’ off the cure.

I’m happy to say the world
goes on its way as I’m
sleeping off the cure.
