The Father’s Wondrous Love

I stand on the edge of mystery
And gaze into the precipice of time
And I wonder how this ancient truth could ever be
That the Father’s wondrous love could be mine

Wondrous love that calls me to the Father’s side
Wondrous love that calls me as a child
All the mysteries of life turn pale beside
The Father’s wondrous love that is mine

I look at the world and it’s love I seek
But settle for a tender masquerade
It seems to me our thoughts of love are frail and weak
Compared to the love Christ displayed
