Grace walks down the street in her working clothes
Brown work boots and jeans
She moves with a gentle ease
Ready to share her smile wherever she goes
Grace holds out her hand to a man in need
She doesn’t make him stand
Or make even small demands
She gives and doesn’t take; that’s the way she is
Grace flows like a river
Straight from the heart of God
She calls out in the city
Come to the healing flood
Grace pours through the alleys
Where fear and misery roam
Searching for the broken
Who need her healing touch
Grace stands on the corner of troubled streets
She meets each weary gaze
With eyes of gentle grace
And an open invitation to her father’s feast
