November Wind

The white wolf of winter bites hard in the cold
It runs with the wind and chills to the bone
It rushes like rivers through valleys below
And swallows the landscape wherever it goes

Winter brings darkness as the sun hides its face
Lost in the mist-world of furies and fates
Despair is an island where hope has no friend
It dies with the leaves in the November wind

As the old year is dying
A new year is rising
A new love is trying
To spring forth again

Lonely the mountains that rise from the sea
And pierce through the clouds as the wind pierces me
Their rock faces stoic and weathered by years
Of November winds and December tears

A heart like a mountain grows lonely and cold
And masked like a stoic as years take their toll
Remembering love they thought would not end
But chilled in the cold of the November wind

But as the year is ending
A new one is beginning
Another chance to love again
As the year is ending
A new one is beginning
Another chance to save my love
From the November Wind
