Mr Miyagi

Mr Miyagi

I remember the Karate Kid
and all the really cool things he did
I loved it when he kicked the bully’s ass
and sent that kid to the beginner’s class

Mr Miyagi was always there
With a helping hand to show he cared
And he’d jump in whenever he was needed
To set the situation right, but,

Where are you when I need you, Mr. Miyagi
I could sure use a hand from you right now
I’m up to my neck in alligators and I
Don’t need to hear “well, see you later”
Where are you? I need you, Mr. Miyagi

Man Of Few Words

Man Of Few Words

I’m a man of few words, so they tell me
Because I never have much to say
But when the chips are down and the stakes are high
You can bet I got a card to play

Now ever since I met you, baby
I’ve been speechless most of the time
The way it makes me feel, when you do me wrong,
Well there’s just no words to describe

I drink alone in silence
To numb the pain my heart can’t hide
Yea, I’m a man of few words
But I got one for you… Goodbye

No Regrets

No Regrets

It’s hard when I’m looking back on my life
And I see all the things I didn’t do right
And I wish I had; Lord, I wish I had
I like to think I did the best I could
But I know I didn’t do what I really should,
Though I wish I had; I wish I had

I wish I could say I’ve lived a life of no regrets
I wish I had gambled and maybe won a few more bets
I wish I could say I took time each day
To smell the flowers and pray
I didn’t always live that way
But I wish I had

I never spent time to really love my wife
To learn about the person she is inside
But I wish I had; I wish I had
I never tried to take my songwriting far
Who knows? By now I coulda been a star
Yea, I wish I had; I wish I had

I never did finishe my college degree
I didn’t buy Microsoft in ’93
I guess I never thought I’d live this long, you see
But I wish I had
